F.T Island is working hard to learn Mandarin Chinese

FT Island has been gaining great popularity all around Asia, especially in Taiwan. Their mini-album, “RETURN,” was released on 6/24 in Taiwan and the members filmed a video clip to greet their Taiwanese fans, showing off their Mandarin Chinese. In order to promote throughout the country, the five boys spent 2 days helping the Asian media record about 49 other video clips to greet fans. Taiwanese fans also created a congratulatory video clip, leaving a message asking the members to watch the video. Hongki was moved and also retweeted the video in order to get more people to view it. He also revealed that the members are currently learning Chinese, and kept asking the Taiwanese fans to wait for FT Island.FT Island recently celebrated their 4th year anniversary since their debut in June 2007. Vocalist Lee Hongki posted a tweet thanking their fans for supporting them the whole time. He stated, “Finally, today is the day for the 4th year anniversary, many things have happened since debut, along the way we have encountered many obstacles, we must become stronger afterwards. Must thank our Primadonnas (name of FT Island fans) who have been staying with us all this time, I hope we can stay together forever.”Recently, the band released their first mainstream album, “FIVE TREASURE ISLAND,” in Japan. During the first week after its release, it placed first on the Oricon daily chart with 37,000 copies sold and topped the Oricon daily charts. Although the 5 members are new in the Japanese industry, they are happy that their music is selling well. The members responded, “It’s unbelievable! We thank our fans for the support. In order to perform better in the future, we will work harder!”
